Session Three - November 25, 2010 - 7:30 - 9:00 a.m.

Setting Up a Family Council

This session offers a comprehensive framework to effectively host family council meetings.  Research indicates implementation of regular family meetings is one of the three most important steps business-owning families can take to ensure the continuity of the family business.  Learn how to use the key components of conducting a safe family council by encouraging honest participation, active listening, and no judgment calls.  When seeking preservation of the family and the business, family councils are an effective way to plan for the future, promote family values and engage and prepare the next generation for the success of the business livelihood.

Session Four - January 27, 2011- 7:30 - 9:00 a.m.

Setting up an Advisory Board

Professional advisors can be one of your company's biggest assets to growth and success of your business, family and health.  Knowing how to find them, what to ask and how to form those relationships is key.  This session will discuss the roles of advisors, compensation, working relationships, family connections and conflicts of interest.

Session Five - February 24, 2011- 7:30 - 9:00 a.m.

Legacy, Lifestyle and Retirement Planning

This practical program will gracefully guide you through retirement planning and help you chart the course that will successfully ease you in to the next exciting chapter of your life.  Baby boomers are redefining retirement and learning the importance of retiring TO something, not FROM something.   Understand the phases; prepare yourself for the many decisions to come and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
