The Centre for Excellence in Intercultural Education NorQuest College Presents:

Putting Down Roots: Our Diverse Communities

The Putting Down Roots: Our Diverse Communities video-conferencing event is an opportunity to exchange knowledge on good practices to welcome newcomers into our communities.

The session will include a panel of people who will share lessons learned from recent rural community projects focused on welcoming and supporting newcomers to integrate into the economic and social fabric of communities in rural Alberta.

If you are an ESL provider, an immigrant service provider, or a voluntary sector organization interested in learning good practices to welcome and support newcomers used across Alberta, this session is for you.

  • Date: November 26, 2010
  • Time: 10 am - 12 pm (Lunch and local conversation to follow at your host site)
  • Speaker (s): Panel members to be confirmed
  • Dial in info (if required) will be sent to registered videoconferencing endpoints.
