Session Description and Objective(s):

Do you have questions about renting in Alberta? This presentation will be an introduction to the Residential Tenancies Act, and the rights and responsibilities of landlords and tenants across Alberta.

This session is open to both landlords and tenants.

Speaker:

Rochelle Johannson obtained her law degree from the University of Alberta and was called to the bar in 2010. She worked in both the public and private sectors before joining the Legal Resource Centre, a public legal education organization (www.legalresourcecentre.ca). She is the Coordinator for the Residential Tenancies Legal Information Program, and her responsibilities include drafting material for landlords and tenants, giving presentations, and answering questions from the public about the law of renting in Alberta.
