The New Perspective: Generative Governance

  • Stuck on fiduciary and strategic responsibilities?
  • Need a different way to attract and retain engaged directors?
  • Take your board beyond traditional boundaries with a Generative Governance session.

One of the top challenges for nonprofit organizations is recruiting and retaining engaged board members. Solve this challenge with a new approach to governing – Generative Governance.

Being a board director or trustee means more than overseeing operations and reviewing and approving budgets. It includes both accountabilities as stewards of the charity and responsibilities to the wider community. It requires individuals to contribute the wisdom of their experiences to advance the mission of the nonprofit organization. Generative Governance encourages thoughtful discussion. Generative Governance is a new way to govern.

Dr. Keith Seel – an expert in Generative Governance from Mount Royal University Institute for Nonprofit Studies –teaches your organization how to revamp your board meetings – taking them from insipid and ineffective to progressive and productive.

Understanding the possibilities by adopting a Generative Governance approach to leadership is reigniting my original reason for sitting on nonprofit boards. It is radically changing my level of engagement at board meetings.
